Key Accountabilities:
Planning and Strategy
Liaison with top management to assist in the deploying of strategic plans for operational activity.
With Café Director, review sales performance regularly, agreeing targets for improvements and identifying strategies for retaining and attracting new customers and building sales and profitability.
Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals.
Plan the use of human resources and organize recruitment and placement of required staff.
Monitor and maintain manpower planning in line with budget.
Sales
Monitor sales and stocks on an on-going basis including monthly stock checks.
Plan and support sales and marketing activities.
Work with the marketing team to maximise promotional and sales opportunities.
Contribute to the growth and effective delivery of private hires and events.
Financial
Utilise financial data to improve profitability.
Prepare and control operational budgets and control inventory.
Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the Café division
Communication
To ensure efficient internal communication with all levels of the organisation, both locally and with corporate support functions.
Ensure that all members of staff are fully briefed about menus, offers and other information
Operations
Ensure that all aspects of operations are operated in line with the company and business specific standard operating procedures.
Manage and meet the targets of relevant operational KPI’s such as mystery shopper/diner reports, operational audits, internal audits etc.
Ensure day-to-day operations and maintain a continued alignment with overall corporate policy, strategy and direction.
To understand, drive and improve all areas of operational compliance, efficiency and security, ensuring that your retail and cafes adhere to policy, process and procedures and providing a safe working environment for both colleagues and customers.
Ensure seamless co-operation between FOH team & BOH staff in delivering excellent service to all customers.
Policy and Processes
Promotes all hygiene, sanitation and food safety guidelines as laid out by the Company, in line with local Country Laws, and regulations. This includes food expiration, fire and first aid regulations.
Competently and confidently communicates key business messages to the team regularly, in a clear and simple way, ensuring the message is fully understood and able to be applied.
Ensure that all the team is aware and able to comply with all policies and processes.
Ensure that cash handling and inventory management procedures are implemented according to company policies.

Manage all customer escalations in an efficient and professional manner.
Leadership
To be accountable for creating and developing a high performing team, continually raising the bar on the team’s performance, through the appropriate use of performance reviews.
Contribute to the selection, appointment, induction and training of managers.
Product Knowledge
To ensure that all team members fully understand and keep up to date with the range of products and services and ensuring that product knowledge is cascaded down in the organisations.
